Use this endpoint when you need live onchain DEX-sourced pricing for a specific ERC-20 token on Ethereum by contract address, especially for newer or long-tail tokens not yet listed on centralized exchanges. Prefer over CoinGecko's coin ID-based price endpoint when you have a contract address but not a CoinGecko coin ID. Prefer over Base network endpoints when the token is specifically on Ethereum mainnet.
Side effects
- Token contract address not found on Ethereum — returns empty or null price data
