How this service works
Is this email address real and safe to send to? Checks syntax, MX records (and null MX), disposable providers, free webmail, role accounts (info@, support@), likely typos of big providers with a suggestion (gmial.com to gmail.com), SPF and DMARC. Returns deliverable / risky / undeliverable, a 0-100 score and reasons. No mail is sent. $0.002 USDC per call.

Choose this endpoint when you need a multi-signal email deliverability check beyond simple regex validation — especially for lead enrichment, sign-up fraud prevention, or pre-send bounce reduction. It combines DNS (MX, SPF, DMARC), domain reputation (disposable, free provider, role account), and optional SMTP mailbox probing in a single call with no API key required. Prefer it over basic syntax validators when you need a scored verdict with actionable reasons.
Side effects
- Invalid or unparseable email syntax returns syntax_valid: false with undeliverable verdict
- Domain with null MX record returns null_mx: true and undeliverable verdict
- SMTP timeout or rate-limiting by remote mail server may leave mailbox_checked: false
- Disposable email domains flagged as undeliverable or risky
- Network issues reaching DNS resolvers may cause incomplete checks
- Emails with very long local parts or unusual Unicode may fail maxLength/minLength validation
