How this service works
Entries on the US Treasury's list of Specially Designated Nationals that match a company name, each with a score, the name that matched and the entry as the list publishes it. A screening aid, not a legal determination. No match means no entry on the lists named scored at or above the minimum; it does not mean the party is clear.
Output
Returns a JSON object with the name and date of the sanctions list checked, the total number of matches at or above the score threshold, and an array of matched entries each containing the official entry name, score, matched name, SDN program codes, remarks, title, addresses, and known aliases (a.k.a. entries).

Side effects
- Company name fewer than 2 or more than 200 characters returns a validation error
- min_score outside 0.5–1 range returns a parameter error
- No matches found returns empty matches array with total 0
- Network or upstream OFAC data source unavailability returns a 5xx error
- Ambiguous or very common company names may return many low-relevance fuzzy matches if min_score is set too low
