Use this endpoint after adding a custom sender domain to an AgentMail pod and configuring the required DNS records. This is the specific step that triggers AgentMail to check DNS ownership and activate the domain for outbound email. Prefer this over re-creating the domain if the domain already exists but is pending verification.
Side effects
- Invalid pod_id or domain_id returns a 404 not found error
- Domain DNS records not yet propagated causes verification failure
- Authentication failure returns 401 unauthorized
- Domain already verified may return a no-op success or 409 conflict
- Network timeout during DNS lookup causes 5xx error
