Resolve a FOMO trader by public handle (the @name on FOMO, without @). Use when you have a handle and not a stored user id. Returns id, handle, name, bio, and verified solanaAddress/evmAddress. Persist id — handles can change. Do not pass a wallet or numeric id.
Output
Returns a user object containing the stable internal user ID, the current handle, display name, bio text, and any verified Solana and/or EVM (0x-prefixed) wallet addresses associated with the account. The stable ID should be persisted for future lookups since handles can change.

Use this endpoint when you have a FOMO trader's public @handle (the text username, without the @ symbol) but do not yet have their stable internal user ID. It is the correct starting point for handle-based lookups. Once you have the stable user ID, prefer the ID-based endpoint for all subsequent calls since handles can change. Do not use this endpoint if you already have the user ID or a wallet address — use the wallet-based or ID-based sibling endpoints instead.
Side effects
- Handle not found — returns 404 or empty result if the @handle does not exist or has been deleted
- Handle changed — if the handle was recently changed, the old handle may return no result; use stored ID instead
- Passing a wallet address or numeric ID instead of a handle causes an error or no match
- Rate limiting or payment failure if the x402 payment of $0.1 USDC is not properly handled
- Network timeout or 5xx if FomoScan service is temporarily unavailable
