Resolve a FOMO trader by public handle (the @name on FOMO, without @). Use when you have a handle and not a stored user id. Returns id, handle, name, bio, and verified solanaAddress/evmAddress. Persist id — handles can change. Do not pass a wallet or numeric id.
Output
Returns a JSON object with the trader's stable numeric user ID, current handle, display name, bio text, verified Solana address, and verified EVM (0x-prefixed) address. The ID is stable even if the handle changes and should be persisted for future lookups.

Use this endpoint when you have a FOMO trader's @handle (username) and need their stable user ID or verified wallet addresses. Prefer the handle-based lookup over the wallet or ID endpoints when starting from a social mention or username. Once you have the stable ID, switch to the ID-based endpoint for all future calls to avoid handle-change breakage.
Side effects
- Handle not found — returns 404 if the @name does not exist on FOMO
- Wrong input type — passing a wallet address or numeric ID instead of a plain handle will return an error or wrong result
- Handle changed — if the handle was recently changed, lookup may fail; use the stable ID for follow-up calls
- Rate limiting or payment failure — x402 payment of $0.1 USDC per call must succeed or the request is rejected
