Resolve a FOMO trader by public handle (the @name on FOMO, without @). Use when you have a handle and not a stored user id. Returns id, handle, name, bio, and verified solanaAddress/evmAddress. Persist id — handles can change. Do not pass a wallet or numeric id.
Output
Returns a JSON object containing the trader's stable numeric user ID, current handle, display name, bio text, and their verified solanaAddress and evmAddress (either may be null if not linked). The stable ID should be persisted for future lookups since handles can change.

Use this endpoint when you have a FOMO trader's public @handle (without the @ symbol) and need to resolve it to a stable user ID or verified blockchain addresses. Prefer the handle-based endpoint over wallet or ID lookups when you only have a social username. Once you have the stable user ID from this call, switch to the ID-based endpoint for all subsequent lookups to avoid stale handle issues.
Side effects
- Handle not found — returns 404 if the @handle does not exist on FOMO
- Incorrect input type — passing a wallet address or numeric ID instead of a plain handle will fail; only bare handles (no @) are accepted
- Payment failure — the x402 payment of $0.1 USDC must succeed or the request is rejected
- Handle changed — the resolved handle may differ from what was searched if the user recently renamed; always persist the returned ID
