How this service works
Resolve a FOMO trader by public handle (the @name on FOMO, without @). Use when you have a handle and not a stored user id. Returns id, handle, name, bio, and verified solanaAddress/evmAddress. Persist id — handles can change. Do not pass a wallet or numeric id.
Output
Returns a JSON object containing the trader's stable numeric user ID, current handle, display name, bio, and their verified Solana and/or EVM wallet addresses. The stable ID should be persisted by the caller since handles can change over time.

Use this endpoint when you have a FOMO trader's public @handle but not their stable numeric user ID. Prefer the handle-lookup endpoint over wallet-based or ID-based endpoints specifically when starting from a social username. Once you obtain the stable ID, persist it and use the ID-based endpoint for all subsequent calls to avoid issues if the user renames their handle.
Side effects
- Handle not found — returns 404 if the handle does not exist or has been deleted
- Wrong input type — passing a wallet address or numeric ID will fail; this endpoint only accepts plain handles without the @ symbol
- Payment failure — if the x402 payment of 0.1 USDC cannot be completed, the call will be rejected
- Rate limiting — excessive calls may result in throttling
